MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS For DRIVE-ALL MANUAL SHIFT AND AUTO-SHIFT TRANSMISSION
OIL Industrial transmissions are shipped without oil. Please do not operate this unit until the proper oil has been added at the proper level. Doing so will not only void the warranty, but will cause extreme damage to the unit. To fill the unit with oil: Fill through the oil plug on top of or near the top of the unit. We recommend the use of MOBILGEAR 626 or an equivalent. This lubricant should be changed after the first 100 hours. To change the oil: The oil needs first to be drained using the drain hole at the bottom of the unit. Then flush the case with light flushing oil. Thereafter a change of oil every 1000 hours should be made unless there is unusual temperature conditions combined with intermittent high loads. A change of oil may then be necessary at one or three-month intervals.
SHIFTING - Manual The transmission needs to come to a full stop before shifting into another gear. This is not a unit that can be shifted on-the-fly. If you have trouble shifting move the input shaft slightly to line up the gear teeth shaft – to mating gear. Failure to stop the unit will void the warranty and cause great damage to your unit.
SHIFTING – Auto With the auto-shift feature the unit should be slowed to 3 – 5 RPM before shifting into another gear ratio. At a full stop, the teeth of the gears may not be in line with each other to make the shifting easily. At higher speeds, shifting will cause shearing to the teeth of the gears. Improper shifting will void the warranty. If you experience any difficulty with this product, please call our office so we may assist you.
