The U0500-0936 from the outside appears to be the same as the U0500STD. These two models share the same close grain cast iron housing but are very different on the inside. These two models have the same power capabilities (up to 5 horsepower at 1800 rpm) but the U0500-0936 offers a different set of solutions for our customers due to its output ratios. The U0500-0936 offers 4 different speeds, an overall length less than 21.5” with a width of just over 9”, and the handle can be attached to either side. The shafts of the U0500-0936 rotate in the same direction and the unit can be utilized as an increaser of reducer.
